First off, I want to apologize for posting this thread in this section but I highly value the experiences and opinions here. Looking for some insight from whoever is willing to give it. With that, I'm wanting to get rid of my current DD and also ($505) a month truck payment with it. I'm attaching the link of the vehicle I'm about 90% sure I'm going to be replacing it with if everything goes according to plan (when does it ever..). Currently live in South Texas and vehicle is in Winfield, Missouri. Never purchased an out of state vehicle before It's a stealership sale and I haven't made contact yet. Anything I should know going into this process. Oh yeah, and its a chebby! :D

Don't worry! We are keepin the ole girl as she is apart of the family now (finally registered and fully legal) lol

The Burban will be my daily driver for non work related travel. Running errands, going out, camping, vacaying in general etc etc... The F250 will be my daily driver while on the job and or towing anything.

I drove a 92 4x4 ext cab chevy pickup when I was in high school. Loved that truck. Beat it to death though. Still ran and drove when I sold it shortly after graduating. Both CV axles completely busted and horrible exhaust leak due to blown exhaust manifold gaskets (long tubes lol) Also, did some extensive repairs on a 97 4x4 pickup for a relative about 2 years ago. So I have some mild experience with these trucks.

It looks pretty clean in these pictures. I don't know much about these good or bad, but $9000 seems kind of steep to me. Is it because of the 91,000 miles and the fact that it's a 3/4 ton?

I feel its also on the high side for a 94 Suburban but I think they are taking many things into account. Low miles, 3/4 ton, 4x4, leather, condition, etc.. Id hope there is room for haggle. I wouldn't expect there is many people going around looking to buy a 94 3/4 4x4 Suburban but then again, look at me! LOL Financing is available and probably the route I will go. If my payments were even half of what they are now id be pleased.

I REALLY like the fact its 3/4 ton but it still has the 5.7 and not the 7.4l!

I still hope you can get it for less, but as long as it's as good as it looks in the pictures, I say go for it if you're happy with it.

Thanks man! I'm definitely going to request current pictures when I make contact with them. I checked out their actual website and its still posted so that's a good sign!

Burban wasn't my first go to when deciding on a replacement but it actuals suits all of my needs and probably then some. But having the F250 also really opened up the door for possibilities. I have serious plans for this thing if all goes well. It wont look the way it does in those pictures for too long! When the last payment is made, that's when the real fun begins!

for starters, I LOVE my squarenose burb.
the new body style, not as much.
biggest issue is the front end. plan on budgeting to rebuild EVERYTHING from bushings, balljoints, to tie-rods. that would be your baseline to start with.
next issue is get detailed pics of the chassis from front bumper to rear bumper. I've seen primo fronts with rotten rears. a result from too many dips in the ocean waters from boat launches. any hint of chassis corrosion will result in a rocket like acceleration when exposed to the humid south. there is no hiding from this fact.
lastly, all my burbs are "barndoor" burbs. tailgate burbs die quickly in my hands.
here's my turbo 6.5 squarenose, with barn doors and famous GM paint.

It came from a auction. They have room to come down, but likely won't.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you know? Is that something I should be worried about? I figured the only way they'd prolly budge on price is if I showed up with cash in hand.

Nice rig!

I really like the squarenose Burbans as well! I'd LOVE to have one for a dedicated Trail rig one day, especially with an IDI in it. Heavily equipped for tackling the shorelines of the Gulf of Mexico as I grew up in and around those waters and still tend to them as much as possible! Finding one with the "luxuries" of a newer one has been the real task though. A/c, FI, overdrive transmission, 4x4 etc.. Especially with lower miles and hasn't been beat to hell! I have searched all over the interweb for a "nice" diesel burban but have fallen short.

I think what your really trying to say is I smell a SAS in my future :D

And thanks for the pointers! Will definitely apply them to this adventure. I am calling them Monday!

Sweet! I feel dumb for not trying that. I wasn't going to pay for the carfax just yet though they state it's a one owner vehicle. Thanks for the info. Is an acution vehicle worrisome?
