Wish my bed looked that good.. that scrape isn't even an 1/8th the damage mine has....

Looking good keep the updates coming!!!!!!

On one of my trucks, a previous owner scraped it alongside a tree, and smooshed in the entire bed side and the rear corner of the cab. On my other crewcab, the bed is really rough looking. I don't think I have any vehicle with a bed as nice as the one you're tossing.

Haha I figured someone who make a comment on that, the white paint makes it look a lot better than in person, and someone attacked some rock chips on the body with a rattle can, so if we’re painting anyways we figured we would start with a bed that needs no body work.

If someone wants this bed I’d be happy to bring it to the Texas IDI Meet this fall, it’s just sitting taking up space now.

I may be interested in it if it's up for grabs. It matches my truck and is in a lot better shape than mine from the looks of it. Shoot me some more pics when you get a chance please. May be doing a bed swap when I get the motor work done :D

I just love that everything below the frame is new 2003 Ford parts and everything above it is original 1988. Glad you’re enjoying the build Rich, looking forward to getting back on it this coming week.

Still haven’t decided what clutch we are going to be using, either stage four south bend or powerstroke dual disc, with the power it’s gonna be making a luk wouldn’t last long...

Tearing the engine down now, and had to share this. The factory dual mass flywheel and stock clutch were not happy with the power the yellow truck was making

Pulled the head off and stripped them down, they will be going off to be magna’d and cleaned, looks like that headgasket didn’t like the 16-18 psi it was seeing. Hopefully no severely cracked heads, but I’ve got plenty of spares just in case.

Any updates?
Truck got set on the back burner while I build a dt466 for their company truck, I should be done this week or next depending on how long I’m waiting on parts. Then I can finish the porting on the heads, reassemble the engine and start getting this truck ready to drive. It’s going to be at the Texas idi meet for sure, so I have now until November 9th to get it and the ambo done.

Well, currently waiting on a turbo and injector harness for the 466 build and it will be ready for its first start, so today I finished the porting on these heads, got them assembled with new valve seals and Comp 910s, cleaned up the block, and got one head installed with the studs.

Pictures coming...

Lifter hold down bracket looks like it had a .45 go through it. Guess someone maybe confused this with the valley pan

I’ve got a complete long block, both heads installed and torqued to 145 ft lbs. Cleaned up the block, taped off everything and sprayed it it’s first two coats. Going to dry overnight then starting to paint accessories and covers

Looking good! I'm watching all of your projects with anticipation...!

Is that tape on the crank pulley or did it get dropped or something? Looks mashed in.
