Your welcome. That's the only two things that I can think of to make a popping noise out of the intake. WAIT!!! Before you go tearing into your engine, remember that these engines do have a loud "intake pulse" as I call it. Put your air filter back on and see if you can still hear the noise loudly. Even (if you can) compare it to another N/A IDI to see how it sounds.

The popping noise has seem to went away. It sounds so quite compared to how it used to sound had the clatter sound more then it does now. I ordered the timing stuff but it will be a couple weeks before it is here. The egts don't seem to climb as fast.

Usually, a mechanical problem won't come and go, but a fuel issue can. Maybe there was some trapped air that ran through an injector?

Could be I only let 4 of the injectors bleed then it fired up and then it started making there loud bang from the intake then I turned it off. Sounded like it was backing firing then I started let it idle then it did it couple more times then it's gone and it's been running good now.
