Hey all,
Long story short, spent the past 10+ years in the S10 4x4 world and am currently building a ZR2 rock crawler. I just picked up a 1989 f350 4x4 cclb to haul it and drive hwen I don't feel like driving my motorcycle to work.

I love the truck. When I got it, basically nothing worked on it except it drove. No gauges, ac, etc...

It has a turbo on it and GV overdrive. I got all the gauges working again, the GV unit working, wipers/washer, AC, etc... It's been fun to work on.

My brother is Steven Donald in Corpus/Alice area.

Glad to be on here. I have gleaned quite a bit in the past couple of weeks since I have had the truck.

Ha, yeah. I picked it up from Matt (I think) in your neck of the woods. It seems like the truck sat for a while, but I'm very very pleased with it. I found a stack of service records in the center console (it's under the middle seat) including a new engine in 2006.

Any info you can give me, I would love to have! I didn't get any info when I bought it. I picked it up for $3800. I got backed into in a parking lot the first day i had it resulting in a $2000 insurance check. I have spent around $1000 in parts (including new tires and an IP) getting everything going: windows, gauges, etc... I need to do some body work to repair the fender, but everything else is good to go. I'm happy. Haha

Thanks for the info the other weekend when we were replacing the IP. We sure did appreciate it!

That’s a shame you got backed into, that Ramsey bumper is a rare piece these days. The engine was indeed rebuilt at some point, as well as the trans I could tell. Someone, probaly the original owner, really cared for that truck, paid to get the rebuild, gear vendors, turbo kit etc. That truck was setup really well. All I did was fix some fuel leaks and some r&r to get it running, so don’t have a ton to share unfortunately

I did some digging and the original owner had it for a long time and took care of it. That is where a majority of the service records come from. The second owner had it for a little less than 5 years. They didn't trash it, but things started to not work and i think they parked it. Matt had it for... 5 months.

I have to bend the bumper back out and straighten a support bracket and that is all. I got lucky.

Welcome to the forum, loser! :p

Yup Thewespaul, this is the truck we destroyed the IP on. It sure s a good runner with the new IP for sure. It was a real dog on power before though.
