I meant to post this last night. This is the 3rd clean out of the fuge bowl. About 1+ tablespoon of crud. I’m still running it. Plan to run till nothing else comes out. It’s getting more wet as I go, and less stuff dry crud.

I’m still messing with cold centrifuging to see how it goes on this batch. I simply have not plugged the heater in.

What I’m really doing is making w80 then mixing 50/50 with diesel from my wmo mix.
So 55gallons WMO, 10gallons rug, 55gallons diesel.
This is how I ran my IDI for years. But back then I had a gravity filter setup instead of this fuge.

Just checking in to see how things are going. Im wondering what your oil temps are cold filtering with your insulation on?

Hi again all,
So I gave it 24 hr/ 55 gallons of fuel mix. That gave me 48 hr run thru fuge time for my batch. It’s nice and clean looking now.
My cold filtering temps ran up to about 70*f with out in the room temps being about 45*f. So it did build some heat and hold it.

Next time I’ll probably do it hot. At least just to compare outcomes and time to clean. When I start pumping it into my storage drums I’ll take some pics to post of the finished product.

Also, just to note we are already running a tank full of cold processed fuel exactly like this in another IDI truck for my brother. It’s been great.

I’m surprised to say, mine seems to like it a lot so far. EGTs are good. Smooth sounding. Power is good. No smoke.
I’m was expecting difficulty of some sort. Then selling for another IDI. But I might keep the PSD.:peelout
