Im working with 2006 F450 cab and chassis it has the POS 6.0 in it and now its a gutless POS it inlimp mode barley does 65 on the freeway I got some codes and i want to know what needs to be reomved inspected and or replaced the codes are as follows:

P0299 Turbo under boost
P1408 EGR Valve out of self test range
P1464 A/C out of self test range
P0234 Turbo over boost

From what I can see the lack luster performance is the turbo is not functioning properly along with the EGR valve.

Im ready to remove and get the turbo rebuit and replace the EGR valve.
The boss took the truck to a indepenant shop they wanted to R&R the turbo exhaust gaskets clean the exhaust manifolds and some other stuff but i dont think that is neccassary.
Some hep with this would be great.

Get The EGR valve changed out because it is bad. However, I would disconnect it before doing anything just to make sure it isn't interfering w/ other things because of a possible vreference short.

Now, the other things .............

Are you sure you just don't have a MAP sensor issue? It can cause the P0238 and the P0299.

What are MAP, EBP and Baro readings at KOEO?
