Installed some seats from a pristine 88 f350 IDI fire truck that the owner decided to put buckets into. These seats are nicer than my whole truck!

I got my new batteries installed and while I was at it I put in the 'Bronco Graveyard' headlight relay wiring harness in. (Thanks for the tip Wes). I agree it is worth the cost just to plug and play.

I also advanced my time about another dimes width as I have been thinking it was still a bit retarded. Some white smoke and fairly quiet on the diesel knock sound. No time for a test drive tonight, so we shall see tomorrow [emoji1]

Sweet truck Dog Catcher!

Advancing the timing seems to have helped, truck had noticeably more power on the way to work this morning [emoji1303]

Finally got wheels that don't look like crap on the Slug. Also - Test fitting my new interior - leather powered seats out of a 2001 mercury mountaineer, and I custom built a cold air intake using vacuum chamber hose off of an electron beam welding machine.

Not much today hauled off about 500lbs of varies scrap metal, found I might have a leak by passenger side besides the air breather outside case seems a lil wet lately smells like diesel n of course it's storming today so can pull stuff off.

Discovered my truck doesn't enjoy 75mph figured I test the waters with new gp's n other stuff that was put on there

Heres the new intake. Truck had no intake, was just sucking air at the filter. Wxtremely heavy duty tubing that i got for free. Do you guys think it would be better to put an elbow on it to angle the opening down?

Thanks. Looks better cleaned up.

Made the hood myself to retain the factory lines.

My first car had a similar paint job. 66 mustang which I gave to our son over 10 years ago, he still has it.

I had ordered both fuel tanks from Rock Auto on Sunday evening... and they arrived in just 2 days, today! So I spent the afternoon getting everything ready to come out. I ground the heads off the rear two bed bolts because the nuts would be hard to reach even without the added frame hitch, which I did not feel like removing. The middle two bolts are missing and the front two actually came loose with just a little ATF/acetone and a mild pull on my breaker bar. (The bed has been off in the past for the butchered installation of a gooseneck ball. so that helped a lot).

Front tank skid plate and both sets of tank bolts weren't too bad either! I swear by that homemade penetrating oil. The straps on the front tank are also loosened to the last few threads.:cool

My friend with the backhoe is bringing it tomorrow (no crane is handy) and we'll pull the bed. I am pretty sure I could handle half the weight, it's pretty light without the tailgate, but he's got a small hernia that needs repair so he definitely won't be straining :fan:

Picked up my Father in law's "new" 01 Xterra so I can do head gaskets and fix everything else thats wrong with it..... (The yellow **** in the background of the 2nd pic lol!)

Then hauled home an 08 escape that might end up being my DD if I can fix it up. If anyone is knowledgeable about that era passlock a PM would be nice lol! She'll have a thread in the gassers section soon enough.

You might be surprised. My father and I strained pretty good with a 1/2 ton chevy shortbed. I was shocked how much they weigh. It wasn't just the weight though, lifting that weight over the tires was the real issue.
