6.0 Glow Plug Controller... Anyone have communication specs?

I've been doing research on retrofitting a custom individual-glow-plug-controller onto older engines, and found out that the 6.0 controller looks perfect - it controls 8 glow plugs all individually, looks like it has a temp sensor input as well...

Sounds like it could be retrofitted just fine, and they aren't that expensive!

The only problem is the PCM controlling it. I need to figure out exactly how/what it sends, so I can duplicate that with, say, an arduino. Anyone have any documentation or places to look?

If you can get it fingered out, it'll also tell you of bad plugs. Lol

That's another benefit, yes. And it might even be able to measure the resistance while running, which would give cylinder balance to some extent.

I do know that when the oil is 150 *F or over, the glow plugs do not fire.

It does use pcm but I have been trying to figure out how to control it. I have digrams. You can active but to tell what glow plug is bad you might have to use raspberry pi chip to program to have communicates with the gpcm.

Do you have one of these? Does it activate the glow plug cycle when powered on, or does the PCM need to be connected(pins 8 & 9) to get it to work?

And this is the problem. I don't have a datasheet or information that explains what sort of signal I need to send to the GPCM on those two pins to make it do what I want.
I'm sure I could rig up a controller to talk to it... but I need to know how first, and I'm not that good at reverse engineering.

Duct tape a 6.0 pcm in there some place a plug in it to that. Wire a obd2 too and you'll know which glow plugs are working.
Just my oversimplified uneducated guess

I think the gpcm is grounded by the pcm to activate but let me do some digging around on it. See how they work.
