just throwing this out there, my front seal leaked also when first installed but after I drove it for a few miles it just stopped leaking and has been dry ever since.

you can also tap the seal in a 1/16 of an inch father to get the seal out of the lip on the balancer...

Well I'll look at it more after it goes for inspection Thursday. It leaks pretty decent though since I really haven't driven it that much yet.

I suppose I have forgotten to give an update, haha! Well the truck has been running decent. Right now Mel has the injection pump cause it was leaking fuel at the advance piston. I also asked him to see if he can get anymore fuel out of it without too much work. I'm still recouping financally from the whole project to be able to go to a larger pump. So far my egts top out at 900 degrees unless I lug it under the turbo. The turbo is definitely smooth power coming on. It carries 5psi crusing empty on the highway at 70mph at about 2000rpms. As soon as you roll into the throttle it jumps right up to 10psi and climbs to 20psi by 2500rpms. Max boost unloaded so far has been 25psi. I do have a few things to fix this winter yet. I have to call Fass because I noticed my pump is leaking from the weep hole again. I also have to drop the tank and lengthen the return line so it's near the bottom of the tank since I didn't listen to Corey and do that the first time, haha! I also may try to reinstall my stock sending unit since I don't believe the aftermarket one is quite accurate. Something else I need to do at some point is build a set of traction bars now

what size pump do you have? my numbers are very close to yours. i have a 90cc pump so im sure that is why i will have lower boost.

I have a 100cc pump, but I'm not sure how many miles are on it since I bought it used. I'm also non-intercooled yet at this point. I feel like there is room to grow with this turbo yet. Eventually I'd like to intercool and I'd like to try some water/methanol too at some point.

that explains the higher boost numbers. from what i have been seeing from just a few of us is the turbo can handle a 100cc+ pump and still not have excessive EGTs.

I was surprised how low my egts are even with being non-intercooled yet. That's why I feel there is lots of room to grow especially if I can get more fuel to it. That being said I haven't towed with it much yet so that will be the true test.

no IC will be a little downfall with towing temps but if the EGTs don't even get very high then if you have a good cooling system i think it will even out.

You guys are making me want to tinker. Did you two ever figure out which hot side AR you had? I can’t remember right now. Ive got the 100 cc pump intercooled and I’m not really seeing your boost numbers. Down low seems about right but up higher I’ve seen 20 psi a grand total of once and that was foot on the floor with camper up hill. Makes me wonder if my hot side is choking or if my intercooler is. That is a lot of cfm through my intercooler to get to 20 psi. It may need to be bigger.

@laserjock I'd say my boost numbers are higher due to it being non-intercooled. I think Elijah has similar boost numbers to you with his intercooler. Mine is a .89 a/r divided t4 exhaust housing. There are still a number of things I want to tweak on it this spring. I just feel like there is more hidden power left in this setup

That’s the AR mine is but with undivided t3. Seems like I should be doing a little more boost than no mufflers is because in theory I’ve got more fuel which is what leads me to wonder if the IC is hurting me. Makes me want to bypass it and take it for a hard drive.

ill have to give mel a call to see if he would know the a/r. before the IC if i got on it i could get the needle to back to 0 psi on the 15 psi gauge, and that was with little effort. with IC it will go to about 17 psi and no smoke.
