I was thinking 4.10s... but I was thinking overdrive lol!

Nice looking rig. I'm glad it's as sound as it is. We've been looking for something for my father in law and everyone seems to take great pictures... that don't show all the rust.

Do these 80s models have a high beam indicator? I sure didn't notice one driving home. My air bubble didn't resurface on our way home tonight but I'm sure it's lingering. Just gonna do return lines when I get time.

Truck also has [with paperwork] had:
All new motorcraft glow plugs
New basically everything front end wise shocks ball joints breaks rotors bearings etc.
New fuel tank
New mechanical fuel pump
New radiator
Alignment

And he also gave me:
Exhaust system from super duty
Exhaust system from old 351 that my dad can use on his truck
Clean spare idi radiator
New weather stripping / door jam kit
Side trim kit
Another set of mirrors
Spare set of shocks
Paint

I feel like I made out all things said lol

Yes. These early 80's models (bull nose) had the High Beam indicator above your tachometer, in between the Fasten Seatbelt light and the brake warning lights.

.... and it's bright enough to burn your shadow into the back glass........

On our 83, I think the high beam light was actually brighter than the actual high beams..... LOL

Should be 194 bulbs. Order a 10 pack from RockAuto for $6 shipped and change them all out while you're in there. Easy job.

Here's a video of my cold start this morning. Still getting some air. Drove good to work but I took the fuel filter off this am and the fuel level was down to 50% so I dumped atf in to fill it and drove it to work. Only surged one time on flat ground.

Where does the water separator on the fender connect? I see the regular lift pump but it pumps to the fuel filter and into the ip so does it go tank then water separator then lift pump then fuel filter then ip? And can i put a 7.3 fuel filter with a water separator on where the 6.9 fuel filter is without swapping the bases and just delete the 6.9 separator?

I know I need to do return lines and caps anyways but I think my surging is pre fuel filter and my drawback is a combo of that and wet but not leaking return lines.

Here's a video of the engine area. At 37 seconds you'll see a drop from the metal connection going back from return lines to the tank. There's two brass fittings there I can't tell if they deleted the olives or if that's the normal way it's hooked up but it definitely leaks very slowly there so that will have to be addressed. At least even with the air intrusion it's s trooper and runs well enough I can drive it.

From the hard line to the lift pump?
Yes.
Where does the water separator on the fender connect?
The water seperator on the fender connects to the fuel lines underneath the seperator. It's in between the driver's side frame rail and the engine crossmember. If you crawl under your truck on the driver's side and visually trace the fuel lines coming up fron the tank selector valve, you'll see where the line splits off to go up to the seperator.

has this truck been switched to a dana44 front? they were option on F250 but I never saw one in an F350.
had 2 86 F250 diesels , one with a T19 and one with a C6. they both had Dana 44TTB fronts in them. seemed strange when I bought them but thats how they came OEM.

you mentioned it sat for a few years, shoudl probably do a return line kit with all the return orings and the return hose just need to cut the lengths. amazign how fast those lines dry on ultra low sulfur diesel.

I saw it was sold and was going to ask if you were able to get it. Congrats it's a nice looking truck.
