The pics are in here somewhere. Here’s a couple to help you figure out where to look. I would look somewhere in the April/May 2017 area.

Trip report.

Drove the truck out across the mountains for the weekend. Trip out got about 15 mpg. Trip back I checked it a little closer and it was like 16 even.

While I was there grabbed a small load of rock.

It was 1040 lb. found out the truck with me, one full tank and a few tools weighed 6640. That’s less than I expected. Given the truck and trailer weighed 12700 (granted the truck was loaded a bit heavier with spares) but that means the camper was at ~6000 lbs which is heavier than I thought. That actually made me feel even a little better about the way the truck performed. I think the engine is starting to break in. I’m hoping to gain another mpg or two. Maybe once it’s fully broken in. By my tally she still has less than 3000 miles. All in all a good road trip.

I may have found one of my belt squeals the other day. Looks like the AC belt is trying to climb the pulley. Bracket may need a little fine adjustment.

Well, I stayed v belt for a few reasons.

1. I’m stubborn.
2. I like the idea of loosing a belt and still going.
3. I’m nonstandard because I ditched the vacuum pump.
4. I’m stubborn.
5. I like watching the V belts whip around.
6. I don’t have a serp setup on hand.
7. I’m stubborn.

I think that about covers it.

Hmm. I need another project like a hole in the head. It is tempting though.
