Does anyone know what the adjustable rheostat on the cruise control amplifier on an 81 Bronco should be set at? Also I put a new (to this truck) gauge pod out of an 86 F150 in and am having trouble with the temp and gas gauges. Temp works but varies from normal (1st third of the gauge) to over heat almost pegged. Motor is at 160 to 190 degrees (you can put your hand on it for a few seconds also have used a heat gun) has plenty of coolant, thermastat opens and closes as should water pump is not the problem. the gas gauge sometimes will work but then quits, I haven't tested the sender yet. Any ideas?
