ordered from summit found out about it because summit had a listing for it but had part number 3352 which is for 6.0 power stroke not 7.3 idi or 7.3 stroke so called hamburgers as they are local to me and told them the problem this was in July or early august called yesterday and they are finished and ready to ship . had to wait for machining and anodizing . I have mine down to #10 hose but hamburgers says #12 hose is best . I want oil pressure to stay up besides already had cooler and hoses made Showed it to Garry and is Garry approved.

And the one I posted won't work to mount the same sized filter because the metal material isn't flat and it's not the same size as our filters for where the gasket would line up.

I can't even find a flat one for where the gasket from a oil filter would line up with a remote base. Ugh.

That might be the holy grail if I could figure out the diameter of it.. 1" npt inlet and outlet and 1 1/2-16 filter thread

Might be it.. 30$ 5 5/16 wide diameter but it looks like it's a flat rubber surface where the gasket from the filter would mount..

The saga continues. I found a place that makes a remote mount with the exact threads and even threads in an adapters for you for 120. It's for an hp6 or equivalent. The gasket of an hp6 is really close to a donaldson I'd like to run..

But not close enough for me to pull the trigger and order one without emailing them and asking them if they think it would fit. I can't tell whether the filter seals in the depressed area on the filter base or the flat area on the outside edge. If it's there I think I'm in business but I sent them an email to try and confirm this before I order one.

I'm not driving the truck over winter anyways so I've got plenty of time. I'm just impatient.

John from Aviaid emailed me back tonight that the Flange is 4-1/2" OD x 3-1/2" ID [for the gasket] which means we could run anything from a regular fl1995 [not that you would do all of this and put that on it] all the way up too....

https://catalog.donaldson.com/productDetail/en/A/DBL7505?productId=71809&skuId=s96836

A donaldson 7505 that's even bigger than the 7504 and holds 5 quarts of oil.

The filter base comes with -10an fittings which is larger then the 1/2npt that the perma cool adapter comes with to attach to the oil cooler so that should all work fine. I'll post up a pic once I get parts.

On that note too, I have a question for FORDF250HDXLT if tagging is still working.

Where did you get your parkers hose with the jic fittings already on it? My local hydraulic shop is usually more expensive than ordering premade hose from jegs, but I want to run from the permacool adapter plate that has 1/2npt fittings to the base I ordered that has the -10an male fittings already on it. I was gonna just order two lengths of the premade braided hose from jegs with the fittings already attached and just put -10an to 1/2npt adapters on it but they only make it up to -8an premade and I don't want that.

If anyone has a good source for some -10an hose with the fittings already on it that would be fantastic. The search continues there. I know I "could" use barb style fittings and all of that crap, but blowing one of those off and spewing oil everywhere just doesn't sound fun..

On that note, is it a good idea to go with 1/2 inch fuel line with quick release couplings on a 1994 turbo IDI with stock components.

I've basically decided I'm gonna have to learn how to put an fittings on hose. Premade -10an hose with fittings basically doesn't exist.

I just don't know what's scarier, trying to cut and create an fittings myself or use push connectors like these with hose clamps..

I remember reading up on it once, seemed relatively simple. I think the reading I did said you basically cut the hose SQUARE, feed a nut on it, put the hose over the fitting and then tighten the nut onto the fitting. I might be mistaken though, It's been a while lol

No that's exactly it, I just watched 4 YouTube videos at work on it. I just don't trust myself to do it properly lol. Guess I don't have many other options. I did find this..

https://www.anplumbing.com/extras/premade-10-hose.html

Which are great prices, I just am not 100% sure that hose is great for hot oil. I guess if it's 500psi and has an fittings and is stainless braided it can't be worse then the regular rubber that comes in perma kits for hot oil so once I get the parts and mount the filter and measure I might just but it from them..
