the question I have for you is, What 6 door? I have 2 :D

why buy one, when I can build one?
I have seen some pretty hacked up jobs, and id rather build my own from scratch.
this thing has been a slew of spare parts from the beginning.
if ya read from the first page of the thread, you will see why.
pretty much the best answer I can give you is...
Because I can?
and I can do it the way I want it, with some interesting custom touches.
most of my vehicles are highly customized, its just a way of life im burdened with.
wouldn't have it any other way.

by the way, I got another few hours to work on her today.

Wat it cost round about to build that 6 door? Love the 4 door build ur working on but I love oddities and that 6 door is a head Turner in my opinion. I have a few spare parts trucks and decent at welding and love a project. Really wanna build one like ur 6 door but bullnose.

Have you used those urethane body mounts before? How do you like them? Any difference in ride vibration and harshness?

Sweet build, BTW. You seem to have quite the hot-rod shop going on.

Wow. Complete tubular frame huh? Guess that will get rid of alot of the body roll and flex on something that long of a wheel base. Alota really nice work and plenty of overkill to not have e to worry bout it. Really impressive

frank, look closer.
that front end is from a 77 1 ton suburban.
I wanted true IFS. im not a fan of the TTB, or TIB.
and with a coil change or swap for bags, I can get the frame 1" off the ground, without drop spindles.
right now its going 4 corner coil springs, and helper bags incase I overload it.
monster c-notch going in to the the rear on the ground in the future.
the frame was built to accommodate the IFS.
but with using the early 60's truck arms, its more of a hotrod. this thing will handle like a dream, and beable to transfer power to the pavement real good.
I want a diesel that I can do smokey burn outs with :)

David, that's what I use, there great. as far as anything noticeable?... well they don't sag line new ones. they bust apart and you will know when its time to change them lol

and engine installed.

I understand your points, maybe I will follow in your footsteps one of these days. I have a centurion, and I know exactly what I want to do to it, just don't know enough yet. I will your project with interest.

well. lots of redesigning the wheel.
deleting the steering and going rack and pinion.
deleting the stock pedals, and going wilwood's
may be looking into vintage air and deleting the stock HVAC.
guess its gonna be a ..... custom?
had the holiday weekend to ponder on this project.
unfortunately, the Grinch has occupied my wallet, and wont let me spend any more monies on this before Christmas..... maybe >:)

No channel job?
Gawd it looks tucked up WAY more than stock!
Nice, (now on a computer) I see the tranny is a good 6" up from stock.
Gunna ride great with all the roll center near the heads...

no channel needed after the c-notch, without springs, it will lay frame.
the rocker could be 2" off the pavement.

but im not going that way this time.

ill be installing the c-notches, but having static suspension.
may get bagged in the future.

that rear will come up about 2-3" when its said and done.
