Hi, I'm newish here, got a couple threads going over in the IDI section. Clearly the most rock'n section here, obviously given how awesome IDI's are. I prefer in general to not talk about myself but let my posts speak for themselves. That said while I've visited the site many times before I didn't have much reason to post. Frankly before I did most of my Ford postings over on FTE but that site F'n blows now. That and I got me a new rig, something I've been after for years, an IDI Centurion. So it's my focus now, something I'm more then willing to spend every spare moment and dime on.

That said I did actually come here to ask a newb question. I read there's some by request only sections that sound like lots of fun. How do I request?

"the refinery" and "GGG(girls, girls, girls)" are the "closed door" sections. not extremely active but the refinery isn't as restrictive on conduct and certainly not politically correct. GGG.....well.....internet **** can be easily found anywhere these days. Not many contributors unfortunately. But the again, not a big focus here either.
How to enter.....become a "supporting member" and the upgrade should be automated. but nothing is foolproof. if there is s problem, get a hold of me then and I'll straighten it out for you.

Welcome, that's a rare bird you got. How's the roof? Alot of those suffered from buckling due to the truck frame flex.

Thanks, the roof isn't horrible, but it's bad. It's actually worse up front by the windshield, it had a visor on it that sometime before me was removed without fixing the holes. It's now rusted a fair bit and leaks. The floor is worse then the roof, about 6 or 8 square inches of area that I can see right through. How much of this is from flex and how much from Centurions work, IDK, but likely some of column A and some of column B.

Oddly this kinda works out for me, or at least I hope it will. It lowered the price, I want to do some extensive mods in almost all the areas that are badly rusted anyway, and I'd feel bad about moding a cherry Centurion. Three dream mods in particular, a mid gate, suicide/clamshell rear doors, and a roof top intake. Might take me a looong time to get it done, might not, IDK, but I'm gunna find out.

Awesome rig. And while I can only assume it won't be cheap nor easy, I would love to see the suicide doors when done. There has always been a soft spot in my heart for them, regardless of what vehicle they happen to be on.

I thought suicide doors are illegal. ???????? Maybe only on the street side.

Cool man, that'll be an adventure. Always thought about getting one of those. Tuck a cage in it and stiffen it up then graft in a new roof.

I don't expect the suicide doors to be all that expensive, I already have a crew-cab with a good cab I intend to part and I need to use that cab as a donor for the roof and floor anyway. So thinking I'll do the work largely on it, then once I have it all worked out cut out what I need from it and swap it over to the Centurion.

nice rig.
building one myself.
but since I have a few 4x's I felt the need to get mine on the ground.
so a new frame will be constructed here pretty soon.
start a build thread on that badboy.

I've followed you're stuff for a while, I'm a fan, and had other handles on other forums, etc.

One of these days I'd really like to pick your brain on some details of this project. But I'm not even close to getting started on that aspect, so it'll wait.

And yes, I'll likely get a build thread going once I have something worthwhile to show.
