I just got one of those. Looks to be a direct coy of the Kent Moore Tach-N-Time. Missed my chance to test it yesterday, so maybe I'll get to test it next weekend.

5/16 drillbit on a small pair of vice grips and pb blaster. Work that in the timing hole. Will clean the rust and grime out so the probe can be installed

mine has that but i can't even get the probe to go in far enough to get to the snap ring, it only goes in maybe 1/16 of an inch

I can tell that the probe is the exact same size as the Kent Moore unit I rented from Gary, so just make sure you're using the correct tube. Also remember to set the air gap in the magnetic pickup and sand/clean the crank and the spot on the injection line you'll be using.

I still have to finish narrowing the head on a Kent Moore IP wrench IP picked up.

If it's brand new, I'd say probably not. Someone else would know better since I'm rarely able to get brand new engine parts

i wouldn't think the paint on it would interfere with timing, guess I'll find out if i ever get the mag probe to fit in the tube lol
