In short, unless your towing vehicle is built to the hilt, don't do it.
It puts a new name to "wiggle wagon".
with stock sized tires, it barely fits.

here's the pics with a lo-pro front.
when inches count, this one's a squeaker.

Thank you for posting this. It's possible to move these trucks on the uhaul trailers but it's really pushing the limit!

I moved my parts truck a few miles on one. Pics look like towcat's. It's one of those if it fits it ships moments. Wasn't sure I would get the ramps in. If it's IDI 4wd it is overloaded according to uhaul and I'm sure no one here would ever condone overloading a trailer.

do I condone it? hell no. I did it and lived to tell about it. Especially when you are doing it without a turbo. Anything that looked like a hill had me dropping gears. all the way down to 2nd gear @ a blistering 24mph. 16840 Gross combined weight. 9540 towing vehicle weight, 7300 gross trailer weight. roughly 800lbs on the tongue. ball hitch height was set up to be slightly nose heavy, ie. one notch lower in front for a pos nose tilt, so I can run 55psi of air in the bags to level out the truck and trailer. Outside of waiting out the rain today, I'll be heading back to kali in the morning and be glad all this will be behind me.

Glad you made it out here safe! I agree that these trailers are a liable option, especially with a driver experienced in hauling but they are not my first choice for sure!

I almost rented one to pick up a truck that was an hour away. Thankfully my friend had a trailer that I could borrow.

short hops are fine. a multi state run is a whole other situation. I'd rather have 10k/lb trailer hooked to my truck's butt so there was more room to balance the load. the u-haul only gives you one option only and no wiggle room.

also, hooked to a proper tow vehicle, they don't care what's hanging off it's ass, they're going to just go when asked and stop when asked :D
i need to replace the clutch in the Nostromo and put it back to work.
