these are the controllers I found up in the dash. im not having much luck with the tests with the pump and computer. I might have someone else near by give me a hand with the scanner reading stuff.

It's also likely that all that can throw the system off, giving those weird codes.
But I wouldn't be surprised if the computer fried.

I'm not for sure if those computers are intercepted the factory computer. You might be about to disconnect the and hook up the wiring back together if it's not hard wired in. See if you will fire or pull different codes.

I did some more testing yesterday and talked to another diesel mechanic down the street. I took the fuel filter down to check that, it was pretty clean. I put a new one in and tried to use the electric pump to fill the rest of the filter and check for pressure. well, I got nothing. I took the pump out and stuck one end in some diesel and it wouldn't even pump that, so I think I found one problem. I ordered a new one and see what happens.

to keep this going, also using a 99 24v and no start condition hot. have to spray it to start.
new vp44, verified fuel pressure, new fuel/air filter fixed all the boost leaks runs great, new TPS
set at .6 volt and 3.78 wot and turn it of after a 10/20 mile commute no restart on 9 out of ten tries.

The hell micro-soft got into the puter and sprinkled bugs into the program jeezusfknchrist.

truck stop starting by the key but the key has to be turned to the run position to start

and under the hood there is a push button switch for starter wired into the batt to starter switch wire.

starts fine with starting fluid. The air intake heater is there but have to rewire it up. that wont help start a hot diesel will it? just put in a brand new $1400 vp44 and it now has power and starts fine, but will not start hot with out spray? ***? My 7.3 int don't punish me like this fine fine dodge cummings hybrid does. the dash is awesome on the dodge! like hiroshima went off.

codes are 4 PO382 PO380 P1693 and transfer pump circuit out of range.

why wont this hunk of iron behave like one?

Well it's a dodge...... Lol
Buddy had one that absolutely would not start without spraying it. Never really fixed it.
Sounds electrical. Like something is opening up via resistance when hot.

narrowed it down to the block mounted ecu, the wait to start light is delayed, time for a really cheap corporate gift for someone.
