im currently running w85, I wanted to post up my setup to see what you guys think, I'll be adding more pics but I wanted to see if anyone has ran or knows about my military filter. It's reusable stainless filter I'm trying to figure out what micron rating would be. I use it as my first filter when I pump out the wmo from the supply then it goes into a settling tank. After that water is removed and pumped into my bed mounted transfer tank. It is then filtered with a 5 micron absolute into my trucks tank and burned from there.

Looks like fun! Im just getting started too, have a boatload of wmo 15-40 laying around. Trying to clean it up. It wont run through a fuge, going to try n cut it with gas hopfully tomorrow. Got it in some 55 gallon drums. Going to agitate with an air hose and wand to get the gas all mixed in good.

It's amazing how good the gas cuts it. I was about 4 gallons shy of being 15% mixed with rug and it was slow pumping and thick. I pumped out oil to make room for the last 4 gallons of rug and it was running like d2 through the pump! So far I've ran about 30 gallons through my truck with no issues. I'm going up north this weekend so I loaded up with 140 gallons all mixed and ready to go so I don't need to buy gas the whole trip

That fast ball pneumatic pump moves anything I throw at it. Too bad they are so expensive I'd recommend everyone get one for transferring the heavy waste oil

If you want cheap for transfering oil, a big block chevy oil pump. Drill 2 holes in the case and braze/weld some 1" pipe nipples to each side as inlet/outlet. Plug the factory inlet/outlet and bypass. The shaft is 1/2".. get a 1/2" lovejoy and run it off a 1/3hp motor. It'll empty a 55 gallon drum in 3 minutes.

I have used diesel at about 25% to centrifuge WMO. My system is inside a building and electrically heated with hot water heater elements to between 160 and 212 degrees, so I did not try gasoline to cut it due to the danger of fumes building up in the area. I would not be opposed to using gasoline to thin it if the oil was already clean and ready to be poured into the vehicle.

I like the looks of your filter and pump! Is the filter easy to clean / disassemble? Not sure how scientific this would be, but maybe you could take some before and after samples, place them on a microscope slide and compare the sizes of the particulates to get an idea of how well it is filtering your wmo.

Something else neat about the BBC oil pump is you can run it with a 1/2" drill in a pinch. Did this for a few years.
