So lots happened today. Finished off the interior. Then I put a grease boot on the tie rod. Don't know how I missed one when I put it together but it's fixed now. Bumper pieces are attached with black nylon screws.

Last night I ordered a tailgate shell and a new shifter boot. Mine was pretty well shot.

Oh I put a deposit on a camper today. [emoji15]

Now just got to get my wheels here and pull the trailer harness so I can go get it.

You will be the envy of the campground, with a nice camper, and an amazing looking truck!
I'd like to see some pics of that nice looking combo in a campground.
This is a great build thread, can't begin to tell you how much I've learned from reading it.

I wish I had good news to report but the ***** made me walk home. Luckily it was only about 1/4 mile. It just died. I think it's a fuel pressure issue. I jumped the pump Fss to direct pOwer and that didn't fix it. Pump seemed to click.

I don't know why but it went from having ~8 psi at the filter head to basically nothing. I can here it suck an air bubble once in a while. I switched tanks to the rear which I think has more in it. Gauge says that anyway. All I know is I need to fix this and quick. I think the first thing I will do is change the feed line to the facet pump. Last time I had this issue I figured out that it was sucking air there. From there I guess I'll change the pump. It seems like it only does it after it gets warm. Once I get it primed it will start again. The long and short of it is it's not carrying the fuel pressure it was and that problem has to be solved regardless.

Needless to say I give big kudos to the wifey for playing tow truck driver and dragging me up the street at 11 o'clock.

Finding issues while close to home, rather than hundreds of miles away is what I consider great news.;)
Don't let sorting out the bugs get ya down. They're to be expected.Finding them now rather than out on the road should make ya smile.

Could take the line off at the pump and fuel selector. Cap it at the selector. Put some air pressure or adapt to a garden hose for ~35psi water pressure from where you took it off at the pump. Should start to leak where it was sucking air. Kind of a long process, but i really cant figure out a better way to do it.

Congrats on finding a fuel issue so close to home. Its PRTJ man, nobody is immune. Take a breath, you'll get it sorted.

I hope it's a fuel issue. I don't know what else it could be. This is going to be a stout runner if I can get it sorted. It pushes you back in the seat.

Just an idea, is it possible you're sucking the feed line shut? Lines from tanks to pump should be rigid. Lines from pump to filter can be soft because you're pushing fuel rather than pulling.

Except for a short connection at the selector valve it is all hard line. I've seen guys change all the hard line for hose. I don't think that's the problem but it's something I'll be looking for. Going to eliminate that fitting that was causing problems the first time. Always start with known bad actors right?

Well it was quite a busy day.

Got the new windshield installed. Couple little spots of rust.

It wasn't horrible. Guy cleaned it up a bit and put some sort of primer on it.

Went and did the paper work on the camper.

That's all done. It's ready to be picked up now.

The saga of my fuel issues was chronicled in another thread. I THINK we are all good now.

Put wheels and tires on tonight.

Rears look about right. Fronts stick out a touch but so did the stock wheels. Yeah Dana 60.

So I got brave and took her for her first real trip out.

First fillup.

I'm pretty happy. Ran great. Need to either swap in a fresh steering box or adjust this one. There's a good bit of play in it. Other than that it really seems to drive great. I'll put some more miles on her tomorrow and hopefully report back good news.

Overall, I'm pretty happy. Runs great.
