currently have side dump exhaust 4 inch straight pipe, I have a chance for free new exhaust to run out the back also 4 inch straight pipe. Will there be any loss of sound or performance? Maybe without the 90 bend I have now it will flow better cause the rear dump exhaust has less aggressive bends in it? Probably nothing noticable is imagine?

Had a chevy 6.0 gas with out the back exhaust. It gets loud when you have a trailer on.

Side dump makes it easier to annoy someone in the lane next to you:angel:

Yes it does but my tailgate and rear wheel is also coated in soot 24/7 and this is free I just don't want a decrease in performance or sound lol

You could try running it out the back and if you don't like it you could always change it back.

You can get away with just about anything on an IDI. I've tested 2.5" straight-pipe, 3" straight pipe, 3" with glasspack muffler... and no real change in HP. This is with my (turbo limited) setup making far more than stock HP across three years and a couple of engines.

go out the back right beside your trailer hitch like a single shotgun.

I had 2.5" duals manifolds back no mufflers and changed sides on the way back, ended up less than 1/2 " length difference at the ends . one out each side of my trailer hitch. wow what an awesome sound. thickwall aluminized, no tinny sound. had a smooth growl to it, crossover pipe may have sounded even better. I ended up putting fullflow glasspacks on to calm it down after 3 warnings and 1 fine.

a good experienced man on a bender is an asset! my guy was FUSSY. he even welded seams , no clamps.

This is a free 4 inch diamond eye tailpipe, already have banks 2-3/4 downpipe to a 3-4 inch adapter and 4 inch to the rear wheel only change would be the couple gentle looking angles over the rear axle and out the back stock location sorta with 5 inch tip
