6.9 ended up having other issues. Got the dt cheap, only 90k on it. So that's going in.
that's what I thought. I guess we will have three dt powered trucks in the family now.

He did. Already got it back from machine shop. Middle cyls were oval. Had to do 20 over to get them right.

Yep, Corey's idit had rings that were wore very hard, especially in the center 4 bores. The outter 4 bores could have been rerung, but the inner 4 were pretty worn. I believe it was .006in over the max allowed and they were egg shaped. But I got it back from the machine shop after a .020 overbore, line boring, and balancing so the red trucks heart will live to see another day! Hopefully soon, haha! I'm anxious to see your dt swap when its done!

Since I shared this thread I guess I should update it. The dt never made it into the truck. 4 years later I finally have it running again. I built a new 6.9 for it with all new parts, and reinstalled everything I had on it. Over New Years I finally put the truck back together and today it drove to work.
