does anyone know how my gauge pack reads the trans temp? The middle gauge doesn't move and I looked all over and didn't notice any sensors in the trans. Is there supposed to be one screwed in the side or is it internal? Thanks

Also I'm simply curious what the large round tube is on the drivers side engine block in front of the oil filter. Anyone know what it's for?

Here's a pic of cylinder. It's that red tube above motor mount. About 2-3 inches in diameter and about 9-10 inches long. You can see it has a large boss going directly into the block

There's a few different places but Ive usually seen them in the pan, if theres nothing hooked up then it might not be connected

My sender is in a cooler line junction block to radiator, so its sensing hot oil coming out of trans.

Check to see if they put a sender in the test port.

RWK, I used to have my sender there as well, however it's not the best location as it only shows the temp spikes coming directly from the converters generated heat.I since placed it at the test port, for a more accurate overall trans temp average.

Thanks I looked and nothing in the trans. I'm going to look on the cooler lines as it's got a large aftermarket cooler on it.
