I have a 94 factory turbo vin K that i have swapped into my 1988 f250, im looking for the marmon clamp for the turbo elbow to buy new, it doesnt seem that anyone has them. I already made the mistake of buying a 2.5 v-band flange and clamp kit, welding on the flange to a piece of pipe and tried to clamp it on to find out it wont fit. I spoke with Justin from R&D and he told me that the clamp was not v-band but marmon. any info would be greatly appreciated thanks have a great day.

Now this is not a standard 2.5 v band correct? it doesn't specify a marmon clamp have you used this clamp before

So what's the difference? Are the marmon clamps wider by chance? That may be what I need for my exhaust brake application.

I used a v band clamp on my stock 093. I didn't have any issues.
the issue comes with the flanges on the v-band vs the marmon.
specifically the inside mating surfaces.

I just did a google search and this is my issue. Yes the flanges are shaped different. Everything I had read previously used V band and marmon interchangeably. That is absolutely not the case as I have learned. Now I have to go find the right size stuff.

No the marmon clamp is is wider by a lot the v band I got wouldnt even come close to clamping on it. I'm off the John deere today I will report back what I find. But I think I will be buying the banks down pipe instead of trying to make my own

I think there is an article on here somewhere on making an OBS PSD down pipe work. My application is a little different but I bought a diamond eye 3" pipe to make it. I know why the banks pipe is a ******* size smaller. Typical 3" pipe is just too tight with the banks up pipe without significant fire wall adjustment.

I have a a obs psd clamp and that didn't work and 3 inch will fit no problem with a manual transmission and a factory turbo I basically built mine ready to go until that damn v band was the wrong size
