at the service dept. it was due for its first oil change, and since they pay, well, hell yeah I'll let them do it.

but anywho, on the way back from Iowa, pulling my trailer it acted up worse than ever before. not only does it do the turbo farting/surging at low rpms on a grade/under strain, now it bucks wildly at 2800 rpm and then again at 3200. -cuss

crazy thing was, my mpg finally went up to something like 18 or 19 on the way up. But pulling my trailer (especially wht the trackhoe) its down to around 7, if that.

whats pitiful, is pulling the trailer alone, it had a helluva time maintaining hyway speeds on slight grades. my last two 6.0's even when they weren't running right still never came out of OD (5th) and held 70 mph even up hills.

also, the brakes squeak and the steering grinds at parking lot speeds going to each locks...

and they better fix the exhaust rattle that I showed them day I got it.

I feel like I just wrote up a service tech order. cookoo

That sucks... My truck was also delivered with a rattle, that i had to point out to the tech the 3rd time it went in.... But i have no problem going over Michigan hills at 70 with 8,000 pounds in tow, in 5th with 35's and 3.73...

yup, what's sad is a few hills I had to drop down to 50, just toting about 5k I assume the trailer to weigh, and had it real bad when I added the 9k trackhoe.

whats going to suck is if I have to take it back cause it doesn't have the trailer attached and they can't find any problems without it attached.

whats funny is the first thing the tech asked me was ' did you chip this one?' :D

the latest I heard was that it was already done last night, new steering shaft, reflash, and some other parts, I'll know more detail today.

they wouldn't fix the exhaust rattle tho cause the sales dept forgot to authorize the work since its more like a damage repair than warranty work, but it was done before I got it, I just hadn't had time to get it fixed then, and now since I waited, it has to be authorized shinola. ah well.

well, they had to replace a few sensors and reflashed. seems to be running smoother now.

also had to order a new steering shaft. I'm waiting.

and of course they couldn't hear the brakes squeal, so I'm just going to break down and clean them myself.

Did you check the oil level after they changed the oil? Sometimes they will overfill it. The level should be mid hash mark.
