Braved ****** road conditions and made a 300km round trip in freezing rain and snow to pick up my new baby. The old girl pulled like a champ with a lighter load going up there, a ford tempo part of the trade agreement, then the 86 F250 4x4 on the way home.

I did some backyard wiring on my charging system, finally got my new alternator to charge the batteries. It has been an uphill battle, but biy was it nice to see 14 volts at the battery when it was idling. Also replaced my crappy driver's side mirror with an 89 mirror, looks a lot better and doesn't flop around when I slam the door. Overall a good day!

I love those clamps! Shows home made ingenuity and a quality job at that ! They look almost like the hold downs on my M1009

Thanks! I couldn't find anything universal in the store that I was confident would do the job, and making these was actually dirt cheap, even up here in Bring Cash Canada!

Changed tire to my fullsize spare. Then got the tire fixed. Then swapped it back onto the truck. And put more power steering fluid in it. Ughhh....

Drove the Superduty to work today (100 miles round trip) and noticed it needed some loving. Replaced a few glow plugs and fixed a bad end on the glow plug harness. Also cleaned the battery's, changed the gear oil in the axillary transmission and diagnosed a lazy speedo. Driving it to work again tomorrow to see how she does.

Today I did a lot of little things to the truck. I WD40'd the lock on the truck cap, took off the visor on the cab and added silicone to the holes and fasteners to prevent leaking, mounted the outside/inside thermometer, added air to the front driver's tire which was rather low, and most of all - I worked in the engine compartment since I was lacking power.

I added an inline fuel pressure gauge to see what I was getting for pressure out of the lift pump. Guess what, a whopping fluctuating 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 PSI. And that was even bypassing the filters. Oh crap, time for a new lift pump. Want to go electric this time.

The other thing I did was to replace all of the lines on the driver's side injectors. While doing so, I replaced all the O-rings and took off the plastic caps and put them aside. What I used instead was a set of those milled aluminum caps that ADV made. I mic'd them and was amazed at the consistency and how smooth they were. No burs to snag on the rings. I used Vaseline on the O-Rings and they just slid down . I know I may not have the pressure I should yet, but after running for a while there was no leaks or even dampness from the replaced caps.

ADV did one heck of a job with these caps, they remedy a well known problem. I'll get pictures tomorrow, tonight I was just wiped out.

I took off my air cleaner assembly today, did the soup bowl removal, sanded the lid and housing down to bare metal. A PITA with all the grooves and curved edges. Got it primed and painted, decided to go with Ford blue instead of IH red. The only reason, my truck is dark blue. Put my air cleaner back on, and did an unplugged 20' cold start. Success!

Topped off the clutch master cylinder, added a few ounces of Lucas Oil to the power steering, and topped off the oil.

Got the dually running sunday, now to finish wiring and hook up the 6g alternator. Have to find the gas harness tach wire as I dont have time to swap out the cab harness to the diesel one. Put in vrv for the c6, found the ip does not have the pin thru the shaft, Thought I had a clutch fan but cant find it anywhere. Then make relay pack for camper and trailer plugs, oh and hang a muffler under there.
Not enough time in the days.
