I use 24" on my F-250...no problems. They have been on for a little over a year.

They freeze to the window when they are in thier at rest position. Especially when you have driven the vehicle and its snowing then you park, the heat from inside the cab and the snow falling on the window eventually make an Ice/snow mess and freeze the wipers to the window.

Whine off. LOL

Geez Mike...doesn't your truck have a defroster??? :D

24" winter-blades on my rigs. Much better, but someday Ford will hear my cry and put a heated windshield grid at the bottom of the windshield like Subaru does on their cars.

Buddy of mine has a Suby and the heat at the bottom keeps the frozen junk off the wipers and the base of the windshield where it accumulates.

I'll never understand why trucks built to plow snow have a lower amount of defrosting equipment than an economy car. -cuss

I agree Duke. All vehicles should have that. We have Heated mirrors bit not heated wiper grids. Who cares what is behind me if I can't see out my front window!

I see wabasto now makes a heating system to heat the windshield washer fluid. Apparently once you have it you can't lived without it.

Very true. Even here near Houston when we get a good frost or freezing rain its a pain. With all that surface area on the windshield compared to a compact car. I have never seen a setup like you are mentioning with the Subaru's, Duke. Sounds like a great idea.

Is there a link to that product? That sounds like a great idea.

You know, I bet it would cost very little for Ford, GM to come up with a "cold weather package" for our trucks. Include winter blades, heated windshield, the aforementioned heated washer fluid, heated mirrors, and I'd be a happy camper.

More advanced & pricy versions could have heated seats & a heated steering wheel. ;Really

Man those steering wheels get cold!!! -cuss
