FWIW, The FL-1995 is only about $10 at walmart.... :)

Save you from "$20 filters"...

Darn it now u got me thinking about giving Walmart money! Makes you wonder how that works that I paid $23 for that filter at my local stealer, but they can sell it for $10'ish and still profit.

I run the FL1995 as well, but have ran napa gold, K&N, Purolator. K&N has the nice nut on the end but the Purolator had a nice sand paper like finish so even covered in oil it was easy to grip. Ill probably run a Wix or N&N next change but always the PS filter

I bought 40 filters from Uhaul, they are wix brand, and I got them for guess how much?

That's right $2 each......

You guys need to learn how to go shopping for volume discounts.

I got a case of fuel filters for $3 each to from a different source a while back. Ya, I know, I am a hoarder.

Motorcraft filters are made by purolator, so if they are cheaper, buy them. I look for purolator filters, whether they are off brands by them or puralator themselves.

IMHO, they are the best cost effecient filter out there. I have been noticing in my area that they are getting harder to find though.

Just cause it says WIX doesnt mean its the best. I saw a comparison of 20 different series of filters, and wix made some good ones, and some that werent any better than a fram. Some of the fram grey boxed filters(tough gaurd series I think) were actually pretty good....

DO NOT GO TO WAL-MART. Advance Auto sells the Motorcraft FL-1995 ford like $12 I think. I run the FL-1995 and Rotella Full Synthetic 5W-40 (It must not taste as good as the 15W-40 because my truck doesn't drink any now ;Sweet)
