Okay so I drive all day today with no problems. I drive to my office about 5 pm and go in for a meeting. Come back out in an hour and start the truck and drive off.... I notice its banging ALL gears instead of just the 2nd -3rd shift (been doing this for 3-4k and i've been kind to it). Look down... and of course the overdrive on/off light is blinking at me. I limped it home and it was too dark to do anything and no one around here that was still open had a code reader so I am having the codes read tomorrow and I will update the post then. No problems with the tach, no problems with the speedo, cruise control still works fine. I am thinking either the FIPL sensor needs replaced or maybe one of the connectors on the tranny might need cleaned. The tranny has ran a little rough since the bottom end of the engine went out while driving on the highway. It shifts okay from 1st to 2nd but 2nd-3rd is a little ackward and 3rd-4th is a little ackward. What does it feel like when the TC wears out? I've nursed the tranny for about 3-4k miles and its been fine other then the ackward shifts. I left the battery cables off for about 20-30 min and reset everything... took it for a drive about 5 miles, no flashing OD light and its back to its normal (yet abnormal) shifting patterns...
