I'm now running a 50/50 mix of WMO/#2 in my 7.3 and it loves it! I have a gallon of acetone in the garage and want to start mixing it with my fuel, to help with atomization.

What's the best amount to add, to get better atomization? I don't want to be using too much, or too little.

Acetone is a waste of time. Been there, tested that.

Go over to the patents site and read about fuell additives for injector cleaning. Every one of them contains acetone. It will clean you injectors, which when using wmo is a good thing.

One ounce per 10 gal of fuel.

Ive been in contact with Lou LaPointe in the last two days concerning dosage rates in #2, told him I ran the specified 1 per 10 and saw dismal results. He replied with 5 oz per 10 gallons would show results.:dunno

I know this thread is about WMO so I am sorry for pulling it off track here but at 5 oz per 10 gallons I would need to add 20 oz to a full tank. Sorry man, acetone has ZERO lubricity and I think for the gains its not worth the costs, especially if you go with the standard dosage rate of 2 cycle oil in #2 and get gains of 2 to 3 MPG and get the added value of lubricity that ULSD robs you of anyway.

JMHO.
