I agree. I've had that OH SH**!! moment and it's not fun.
Been there 3 times with the motorhome, while towing. That's when you use both feet on the brake pedal and lift your butt off of the seat.

If you keep it under 10k lbs trailer weight, I wouldn’t worry too much about trans or diff temps. With a manual transmission, diff would likely be the better one to have. But so long as you have proper fill level and clean fluid, probably nothin to worry about. You can always keep a laser temp gun with you, and run hard, then pull over and check hub, diff, and trans temps with that. You can also check trailer hub temps. So as long as you change diff and trans fluid when you’re supposed to, and check those temps occasionally, it shouldn’t be a big deal.some good suggestions.
I like the oil temp idea. I also like an air pressure gauge, I don't have on board air but it would be nice to have, and I would love some air horns for these terrible, moronic California drivers.
rear diff temp is interesting, never thought of that before. I do tow, but nothing too outrageous. would a trans temp gauge be more helpful than a rear diff gauge, even though it is a manual?
“Beep Beep!”
A roadrunner horn!
My first truck was a 1979 F150. Someone had installed an original Road Runner horn in it. The down side was that it wasn't in the best shape anymore. That was one, sick Road Runner with a VERY hoarse voice.I would love to have something like that on my truck....
You sir, are out of control. At this point maybe do some arduino madness?

Poor thing caught a cold or something from all of the strain....continuously out-witting Mr. Wile E. Coyote...That was one, sick Road Runner with a VERY hoarse voice.
I just finished mine. I usually go with auto meter however most of my customers have always used cheap glow shift and after 100s of glow shifts I’ve never had one come back and my customers beat the crud out of their rigs. What brand of gauges do you guys recommend? I just bought a 4 pod pillar and currently have the banks dynafact egt and boost gauges that come with the banks kit. Having a hard time finding something that matches the banks gauges so I might just swap them out for another brand to match
just saw "I have 11 gauges." from Indadesert above what a clownI don't remember where I got them (yrs ago) but I got 2-3 sirens ........................... BS meter...?
White noise calming meter to combat potential road rage..?
Just some 'off-the-top-of-my-head' suggestions...
Ages ago my Dad put air horns on the top of his Dodge van...
