I can tell my exhaust muffler is getting clogged (cheap glass pack before I new better) so now I am ordering a new system, I think I will go four inch and use this for a muffler.

I forgot to install the dipstick tube holder and I didn’t want it to vibrate and crack but I can not install it after the R and D idi return rails because there isn’t enough room, so rather than pull my injectors I just made a new dipstick tube holder that mounts a little lower.

I wrapped the dipstick tube in fuel line to prevent bad vibes.

I went 3" downpipe with no muffler and it turns out before the passenger rear tire. I've never regretted not having a muffler and I'm not a loud and proud kinda guy. It's just fine and dandy without one for my tastes. You get some turbo flutter inside tunnels too, which is kinda funny. And sounds good when you stand on the skinny pedal. :D

But I've never seen a muffler like that, very cool design.

I finally got around to putting on some new front brakes, the old ones worked but they were OLD and warped so I replaced just for safety purposes.

Yeah it has dealer AC and somebody threw away half the components so I have to buy new, our summers are 110 F in the shade and I’ve never had AC so I should get around to that at some point.

Installed my new muffler, I don’t have the exit height dialed in yet I will work on that when I do the front half.

I know it is simpler to run the exhaust in front of the Axle/wheel. In front it is noisier compared to running to the rear.

My BIL has a 94 F-250, and had his in front of the wheel. But his polished Aluminum wheel was always sooty as well and the white paint on the bed side.

I do not have a soot problem and I still can’t hear it over the sound of the engine and my wheels are black. At 3k rpm full throttle letting her eat in the top of third I can hear a bit of an exhaust note with all the windows open and I have no droning at all.

I agree with Old Goat on his points. I realize that noise doesn't matter to some, but it does to others.
Captain, that must be a good muffler then. I didn't realize that it's so short. That's just another bonus.

I agree old goat has a good point and I have no problem moving it to the back and I would happily do so it’s just that I can’t even hear it where it is. Although I think my engine noise is worse than most due to the state of the truck and lack of even factory level sound deadening.

Yeah that's a little muffler but sounds like it works well. I have factory insulation and the XLT package, I can hear my no-muffler exhaust and the engine about the same levels at WOT unless inside a tunnel or driving next to a wall.

Nice exhaust work!

edit: I like your welding helmet
