i usually kind of post a bunch of noob stuff but thanks to everyone for the thoughts and consideration, y’all are awesome. Here’s another one:

I’m putting in a backup cam and want to have it powered by a toggle/rocker switch (as opposed to just the reverse gear). Last year I added fog lights and re-wired the hi-low switch to both be housed in a box on the dash. Hindsight is 20/20 but should have made this bigger to accommodate more switches in the future (see pic, wiring ain’t pretty but it works well).

I’d like to have an A column pod for gauges but the truck already had an aluminum box in the dash to house so have just been putting stuff there since it’s easy.

Are there pre-fab units that house switches? I’m not quite sure where to find them, there are some units on rock auto and stuff that are switch panels but are overkill for my needs - only plan on adding one more switch.
I’d really like to add the backup cam switch on the trim between the top of the windshield and the driver visor but don’t really want to fab my own housing (but will probably end up doing that anyway).

I like buying stuff from brick and mortar stores since it’s easier for me to visualize sizing etc in person as opposed to online.

Any ideas or sourcing ideas are welcome thanks!

Best I can do is point you to these guys. I'm probably going to buy some switch plates from them when I decide to build and overhead console.

No clue if they have anything that will do what you want, but they look nice lol.

I plan to use their contura switch panels with switches from https://www.otrattw.net/

ended up just drilling above the manual GP switch, easiest way to go and probably the best for my needs.
Never had a backup cam before and it’s pretty nice, my dad worked in highway construction and was always talking about how many backing accidents there are. Comes in handy with a canopy or slide in even though i like parallel parking with just the side mirrors

This is just off the top of my head in the few minutes BLOC...(before lots of coffee) Yesterday was a long day...

The marine wiring source looks to be pretty handy and I am sure they will always have customers.

When I go to tricking out my truck in the monitoring and instumentation area I am going to see if Summit racing equipment and Jegs can help me. Painless Wiring comes to mind first.

I want to support an industry that makes its living in the Performance arena...particularly street and drag cars and trucks.

I feel that since kids are doing more computer and video game stuff...largely indoors...instead of building up Mustangs, Camaros, and 340 Dusters out in the garage or driveway...everything that I can do to help promote their businesses makes me think that I am doing my part to get the little Morlocks outta the basement.

Just my tinhorn civic mindedness...

What do you guys think..?

I’ve got one setup made already for a bricknose truck.
I am working on a dash top version but am willing to part with the one I have now.

I made a similar setup that replaces the factory radio with a switch panel and then the radio can sit where the cig tray was
