Interesting, yes it seems that it was just a random bonus bearing. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t some critical thing I had never heard of.

All the LUK kits I've used over the years just had the regular sized one. You got a bonus part it looks like.

If you look very carefully you can see a broken bolt in there, I got it removed but I was one short.
So for balance purposes I bought all new grade 8 ones and trimmed them to length. The heads on the new ones are slightly smaller than the old will that cause a problem? I am in a hurry to get this out back together.

I got it all together and it seems to run quite good but I don’t have full clutch disengagement so I can’t get it in gear from a stop without jamming it. If I have it in gear with my foot on the brake and the clutch pedal all the way down it will keep running without bucking or dying but there is a substantial rev drop. I replaced everything but the clutch fork because they are “extinct”. With the inspection cover off I can see that everything appears to be moving properly I am just not getting functionality. Does this sound like a fork issue?

Some of the pushrods on the master are adjustable. If yours is make it a little longer.

It’s all fixed now and it works great! The bolts on the pressure plate were loose, when I torqued them down something must have been not quite right and after in installed the engine things aligned and now it all works perfectly.

It is also now like a 5lb clutch pedal push whereas before it was closer to a 45lb pedal.

My thermostat housing is pitted causing unstoppable leaks and I have two small fuel line issues to correct that are cause hard starting.(I accidentally set the engine on the hardline right before the intake side of the mechanical pump and squished it flat, replaced with rubber but I need a permanent hardline fix)
I am also considering installing these gauges, pillar gauges are cool but they are also expensive and offensively modern looking for this truck in my opinion.

If the pitting is on the flange surface, just RTV it.
As for gauges, I like my pillar gauges, but they interfere with the sun visor, which can be annoying

Yeah I did the glowshifts w/pillar and I like it. Keeps everything off to the side. And if you add it up the glowshift is probably the cheapest option if you're going for 3 gauges.

Ah, so what I've done for that in the past with some luck is wire wheel the crud out of it, and then use two hose clamps. Make sure they are S clamps, and not regular ones.
