I have a 1986 2WD F-250 SRW. I am planning on doing a Sterling 10.5 swap in the rear to get disc brakes with a parking brake. The wheel pattern changes, I can either drill it out or change the front to match. I have a line on some 17" Eagle Alloys in 8x170 that I could put on the truck, or I can drill the rear axle to keep my factory 16" Alcoas.

My question is - can I put a super duty front brake rotor (and calipers/bracket if needed) on my existing front suspension to change the pattern or is there more to it? I've been searching for a bit now to find an answer, but most info is regarding 4wd swaps, something I am not doing at the moment. Any information is appreciated!

Here is a template for drilling the new holes to use your own rims.

What year is the 10.5"?

The 05+ are wider and need 17" wheels. This can be matched for the front with wheel adapters.

That's sweet right there! If one member of OB bought this we could start a loaner tool program with it.

I bought the Template, only like $35. Figured better to have it on hand
in case I come across the coveted axle....and they are still available.

Interesting, the Fabricator making there, is just south of Reno, in Sparks.
That is 60 miles north of here, next time Iam up there going to swing by
and meet the guy, and see what else they are making.

Did a ton of research since posting this thread.

Ended up with a 2005 F250 2wd rolling chassis. Will be using the rear axle, wheels, and steering gear from it. Also took all of the bracketry I needed off, specifically the radius arm mounts and coil buckets, since they are the same between the 2wd and 4wd. The 2wd brake stuff will not fit the front.

The IFS from the 2005 looks like it would swap right over if I mount the brackets like I am going to do for the 4wd. Would be one way to get the wheel pattern to match while I figure out a front axle.
