Ok, so I have disassembled three engines - 6.9 (manual trans), 7.3 x 2 (both auto trans - a C6 and a E40D) - and have parts strewn all over the garage. I have rebuilt one 7.3 and it's going in my '87 CC DRW 4x4 F350 with a ZF-5, single mass flywheel.

The thick crankshaft spacer is only for engines with automatic transmissions, right? And the manual trans just uses a thin (1/8") washer/spacer between the crank flange and the flywheel, correct?

On a related note, I'll order SMF bolts from Russ to attach the flywheel to the crank.

Thanks

Scott

Nothing goes between the crank and flywheel, ever. Also in the LUK instructions they do not use the bolt washer plate , bolts go right to the flywheel.
Thick spacer is for the late flexplate only, The C6 flywheel arrangement is 2 piece as you know.
And bolts are on the website.

Ok, I'm using the Luk kit; thanks for the details. Will put in an order for bolts soonest.
