Or possibly White City, but, to me, that's farther north from Council grove and you said that you're east.

These were taken just about 2 1/2 miles south of Edmond.

3-wheeelers are too dangerous and should be banned forever. lol
Glad you got one. I hope you still get to use it.

I do. And I use some others too. Dangerous is a state of mind. If you know how to ride three wheelers, they can do some pretty amazing things.

Forgot about the 3 wheeler`s, haven`t seen one in a long time. :bail
I had a Supervisor that moved to Manhattan when he retired. Moved from Commieland to Ks.
Drove by there in the Interstate a few years ago and yelled out the window, " Where`s George".
best move he ever made, was a P I T A to work for.

I have a Cousin, and his Daughter and family that live in Lake Quivera. Think I spelled that right.
Kind of a hoity Toity gated community.

As far from the interstate as Manhattan is, I'm pretty sure that he didn't hear you. Is Lake Quivera in Kansas? I haven't heard of that one which doesn't really mean anything.

Well that explains why I haven't heard of it before. I did some hunting south of the east end of Wilsey, but I don't remember how far south it was. Then if you take the dirt road on either end of Wilsey and follow it until it dead ends, I've hunted in that pasture too.

So today I drove it about 180 miles and got home and replaced my brake pads. I left the house with 5/8 of a tank and got home with 3/8. I had a 5 gallon can of diesel that I grabbed the other day to put in a skid loader that Tweedledoo ran out of fuel. This was a couple days ago. Turns out Tweedledoo found a can of diesel and took it out to the loader. So I never used the diesel I got in town. So I dumped that diesel in the front tank, which I ran off of all day, and the reason I used up the diesel in the gas can was because it was road fuel, and in Herington the gas station don’t sell off road fuel… and that’s where I was when Tweedledoo told me he ran the loader dry. And being on road fuel I used it up because I filled up the transfer tank on the Dodge the other day and had filled all farm equipment with dyed fuel. Anyhow, I started it up and drove into the pasture to go check cows. I had it running off the front tank, like all day. Well I had er chuggin along at an idle in 1st, and it began to lose power. So I slams in de clutch an it ran low and rough, then died. Wouldn’t restart till I switched to the rear tank, which is clear full. Tried switchin back when I was done with cows and back at the shed. Wouldn’t run fer **** once I switched to the front. Switched to the rear and it would run and idle fine. What is going on!?

How much fuel is in the front tank? If the shower head (fuel pickup) in the tank has fallen off like they have a habit of doing, you basically run out of fuel at around 1/4 tank. Otherwise, I'd suspect that your fuel selector valve (FSV) isn't working right for some reason. Those are the two most obvious ones to me.
You're right about the gas station in Herington only selling road fuel. I can't remember if the previous one sold off road fuel or not. There used to be a place called Vahsholtz oil that delivered gas and diesel to farms around the area. They used to have key operated pumps (yes a long time ago) there. I believe that they probably had off road fuel. Otherwise, maybe the elevator would have some, but I don't know if they sell any type of fuel there. Man. I can remember when there was at least 5 gas stations there and now there's only one not counting Vahsholtz which may or may not still be there. I can remember four or five bars at one time. Now there's only one. I can remember At least three liquor stores, and, again, now there's only one as far as I know.

There’s a liquor store north of Napa that just opened up. I don’t drink so I don’t pay a whole lot of attention to those places. There may be more down different streets that I haven’t been on. They have a Cenex. That’s the only gas station currently. Think there are two bars, one by the Cenex and one next to Pizza Hut. That place has damn good food.

I usually go to Council Grove. I know a lot more of the people there, and it seems like they honestly have just as good or better services. And they have more and IMO better restaurants, except for Hell Rayzors by Pizza Hut in Herington.

I go to Manhattan all the time, most my friends are up there so some questionable crap like burnouts in my buddy’s 73 Ford Maverick on Anderson Avenue at 1 am has happened before… we usually stick to the sane **** but dumb stuff has happened…

Hahah you couldn’t get 17 mpg with the engine at idle and pulling the truck! 17 is a lie for a V10.

I’ve only been around about 4 bullnose Fords besides mine. Only one other was an IDI, an 83. It didn’t have a tach, nor did any of the gasser ones I have driven, save for 1 which had a Sunlite aftermarket tach.

Good to know that the lugs are bigger.

I’ll look into the vacuum system and see what is going on with that, thank you.

I am from the eastern half of Kansas, but it’s a strange spot. Solid hour to anywhere with much of anything, right on the west edge of the Flint Hills. Ain’t as flat as it would be around up by Edmond, but substantially flatter country than even 10-15 miles east of me, where lay the one stoplight **** cops-that’ll-pull-you-over-for-2-above-the-limit town of Council Grove. They have a grocery store, the best Napa I have ever been to, a hardware store whose hardware selection sucks super bad, and a grain elevator run, nay, attended, by a bunch of lethargic drunks who can’t get out of their damn chair. It’s self service, unless the one farmer (we’ll call him Dan) who is there alot is there, he’s drunk too, but he can still walk, kinda. He’ll help you load and print your ticket and do what the employees should be doing. If he’s not there then you’ll hafta print your own ticket, and if “Dan” never taught ya, then yer screwed because you have to hold down the print button while pulling on the paper because their printer is such a dilapidated piece of crap. And that town got nothin else, so Manhattan or Emporia if you actually need something today. Hour drive to either big town. Topeka ain’t much further.
Welcome. I live in the sticks northwest of Bushong. I have 3 IDI'S currently. I would be happy to help when I can. Nice to see someone else from KS on here, and near to me as well.
