There are some guys running wmo in the powerstroke .... i haven't been game to try it yet.
The old idi's run the fuel at 1800psi. You need that high pressure to turn the fuel into a fog so it burns properly. All diesels run the fuel at a high pressure, so all of them have some sort of high pressure pump system, either seperate or built into the injection pump.
