Today I changed my oil and thermostat. The thermostat wasn't bad so I decided to put the radiator fan and shroud back on while I was at it. The oil drain plug didn't want to tighten back up so I sprayed it down with brake cleaner and wiped it off as well as I could. Then I smothered it with RTV in the hopes that it wouldn't leak temporarily. It didn't leak. Until I put the new oil in that is. I had to go to Orscheln anyway so I bought a new drain pan to put under the engine to attempt to keep oil off of my driveway. I guess next weekend, I'm going to buy a couple of oversized drain plugs and see if I can get one of them installed and the oil leak stopped. I'm REALLY hoping that it's only the drain plug that's stripped and I can just put another drain plug in. That probably won't be the case, bur I can hope for now. That's just one more reason for me to pull the engine back out here soon. As I was finishing up, I remembered that I had a nice fellow with red and blue lights all over his car let me know that I had a broken taillight last weekend. He even gave me a piece of paper with permission to fix it. I had been carrying them around for a week so I figured that I'd better change them out. They're not my favorite, but they were from a truck that I bought for parts a couple of years back so they didn't cost me anything today.
After all that, I said forget it and went to ride my dirt bike in the snow.

@farmerrock, seems like one of those old dot-mil trailer bodies would make a great pickup bed.
That one I pictured, has just been sitting around here, so I figured why not.
That was something I wanted to do with my first IDI but never did.
I think it'll be neat, and paint it all up decent.
The measurements look very close, it should work.

I hope for you as well that the pan threads are not stripped. Running a thread restorer through can help without cutting and creating material in your oil.

You mean the exhaust? Yes. It goes along with the headers. The exhaust was done by our "sister shop" after I installed a reman engine back in late '98 or early '99. They didn't do the best quality of work.

I picked up a manual trans column for my bronco, a pedal box for my future idi car, a grill for the black truck, and some odds and ends.
Also, remember the woman’s chimp who ripped her friends face off in 2009? I got to see her truck. It can actually be seen in the 911 video on YouTube.

Seems like most Bronco`s are auto trans. Didn`t know they came with a manual trans.
So the bronco Column will fit in a f250?

Be good to swap in new Bushings on the peddle assy. before installing it.

That 4 door Dully looks like a Circus wagon.

What bronco said and if things don’t fit that’s what the angle grinder, sledge and welder are for.

Agreed on the pedal assembly, each one gets a rebuild and heim joint mod

When you have the Peddle Assy. out of the truck, it makes it so easy to do the Heim Joint mod.
Slide the shaft out, grind off the weld and drive out
the little worn shaft thing the MC Arm connects to.

I could not get that that little bent Bracket off the Splines working under the dash.

I know you know that, someone reading this may not.
