There is a thread over on FTE where a 6 Digit Speedometer has been discovered on E-Bay.
As you know out 83/86 only got to 5 digits and roll back over to zero`s and does not show the 100K 2, 3 etc....
Why Ford put in a 5 digit in the 150, 250, 350 trucks, but get to the F600, 700 and 800 they installed a 6 digit.
The Instrument cluster is the same exact same one installed in the smaller trucks.

I did post this at the end of the thread, currently running.

"I Present the 400,000 mile PSOM/Odometer"

Good old E-bay they are $200 and saw one for $400, where at PNP you can grab one for around $40 bucks.
Majority of the bigger trucks are gassers so the tach won`t work, but Ford did install a Cummins in the 700/800. We had one where I worked.

Iam more interested in finding just the Speedometer.

That would be pretty cool. I dont know on these years for sure, but in the past ford has had many different printed circuits used on the back of the cluster, with wiring connector to match, most the same connector but pinned differently.

Should be doable to swap the speedo head into the pickup cluster pretty easily though?

I have noticed doing more searching that some of the F-600 thru 800, the spedo`s only go to 75MPH, where the F-250/350 go to 85 MPH.
