Yeah IIRC our oil pumps pump something like 18 Gal/Minute at 2K rpm...... & our water pumps pump like 70-72 Gal/Minute at 2K.
Somebody please correct me if wrong. I don't remember like I used to!! LOL

Only have factory dash gauges (so far) for oil pressure. Here in southcentral Montana I generally plug the block heater in for an hour or 2, being nice to the engine. Using 15-40w Delo/Rotello (bought a lot early last year) year round here and Fl-1995 oil filters (have a stash of them) in the '86 and '93. In the '96 PSD run Schaeffers synthetic - only run truck a few months each summer.

ttman4 - well understood what ya said, about remembering.
When I was younger i could remember everything; whether it happened or not!

Telling stories now as we get older, we just add to the story as we go along to embelish it to make it better or worse. ;Really

If you use the right illicit chemicals, that can still happen. :joker:

I haven't had much at all to do with pigs/hogs, but one of the few experiences was with another guy I worked with. I had let him borrow $200 to have enough money to buy a horse. He was going to sell some of his calves and pay me back what he borrowed. The rancher that we worked for let me go to the sale with him to make sure that I got paid back. He did pay me back and he also bought three small pigs. We were driving the rancher's 85 F250, regular cab with a 6.9. We ended up putting the pigs behind the seat of the truck and stopping at his parents' farm (he was still in high school) to put the pigs in a pen before we went back to work.

I was stupid now I look back 61 yrs ago, Iam in the middle, Sonny is on the right, (Breathing down his neck) and we are pushing on the FW thinking we could hold the old Bore back. Had a snout foot long and those big Tusks. D amn thing could have killed us. Got him out of the car and ran him into another Horse barn, he had gone right or left we would have lost him in the woods.

That old Ford was slippin and burnin the Clutch to get up the hill...but the Oil Pressure was good. :Thumbs Up

later he got 3 big Sowe`s, bred them and 11, 13 and 15 lil Piglets.

Had to build pens, so we releaved the contractors building tract homes of a lot of Lumber and Powdered cement to build pens and concrete floors.
Would go down to the Creek and fill old feed sacks with gravel to make the stuff after school.

When they got big enough, we took them to the Auction in San Jose. (all that is gone now to Houses)
His Mom had a Packard, around 50/51. took out the back seat and hauled the Hogs. They went in style.

Cleaned out the car,, and evidently his Mom didn`t know, or let on.
And we knew nothing.
The old Packard had pretty good Oil Pressure too.

EDIT, EDIT, EDIT.......
I guess I better correct this I wrote. Went & looked up some stuff in one of my books:
Our oil pumps pump about 12 GPM at 3300 RPM.
Now I'm not sure what our water pumps pumps at 3300 RPM, or anything. LOL
