Cool thanks. So you think the braided feed line is the way to go over factory? I'm in so far now what's another couple bucks gonna be. And where would it go to the block; where the sending unit is now?
My answer is two part. You probably won't destroy the pan because that piece is brittle. The second part is that you probably can't remove it without having a piece drop into the valley pan. Hopefully I'm wrong on the second part. After all of this time, you'll probably have to break off that piece. You may be able to push horizontally on the part that sticks up and break it off. Then you can try to shove a rag or paper towel down into the valley pan to catch most, if not all of the pieces when you break away the part that seals into the pan. Then you'll have to work it back out of that hole. There is a baffle underneath the top of the valley pan and it's what can cause oil draining issues. Hopefully someone will have a better answer than I do.Is there a way to *** that out without destroying the pan or breaking off a chunk of that old rubber in the motor? It doesn't want to leave.
I've always put it in from the bottom. I don't know if it will fit in from the top.so the up pipe goes in from the top, correct?
I bought a universal blanket and turbo cover (wrap) on Ebay. Since I haven't got my turbo on yet, I can't say how well they work, but they should be MUCH better than nothing. And anyone have a good lead for thermal blanket or wrap? And should I wrap the crossover pipe with exhaust wrap?
I want to say that one aftermarket turbo kit came with a similar bracket. Maybe for the 093?Classicdieseldesigns also has a custom made bracket that bolts in place over the valve cover too. Might be worth giving them a call.
