Cool thanks. So you think the braided feed line is the way to go over factory? I'm in so far now what's another couple bucks gonna be. And where would it go to the block; where the sending unit is now?

I believe that Russ also sells a feed line that goes to the oil port That's behind your oil filter. I believe that the port is on the bellhousing part of your engine block. If you feed from there, you can leave the oil sender in it's factory location. I'd take a picture of this spot on my engine, but I'm not going to lay in the snow. Sorry.

My kit taps the oil supply from the side of the engine by the cooler. My pressure sensor is still in the same spot.

Hi in the Cascades, Nearly- Redmond,Oregon
My 088 ATS oil feed supply plumbed into that small port drivers side down by oil cooler. IIRC the oil pressure port for regular 7.3 engine is 1/8" NPT at top back of engine.
My current factory Turbo engine (093 turbo) is 1/4" NPT at top back of engine.
My turbo oil feed supply in plumbed there hard line to turbo, and I Tee'ed at top of turbo supply and have my oil sending unit as well as my add on oil pressure gauge.

So I pulled the exhaust out, cut and bent the lip on the firewall. Pulled the dipstick, etc. I removed the cdr but the old rubber or whatever it is the it connects to is still in the valley pan. Is there a way to *** that out without destroying the pan or breaking off a chunk of that old rubber in the motor? It doesn't want to leave. I want to test fit everything before i put it together for good, so the up pipe goes in from the top, correct? And anyone have a good lead for thermal blanket or wrap? And should I wrap the crossover pipe with exhaust wrap? When I pulled the cdr and moved the gp controller I found a couple clips underneath. The 2 in the pic. Look familiar but slips my mind.

My answer is two part. You probably won't destroy the pan because that piece is brittle. The second part is that you probably can't remove it without having a piece drop into the valley pan. Hopefully I'm wrong on the second part. After all of this time, you'll probably have to break off that piece. You may be able to push horizontally on the part that sticks up and break it off. Then you can try to shove a rag or paper towel down into the valley pan to catch most, if not all of the pieces when you break away the part that seals into the pan. Then you'll have to work it back out of that hole. There is a baffle underneath the top of the valley pan and it's what can cause oil draining issues. Hopefully someone will have a better answer than I do.

I've always put it in from the bottom. I don't know if it will fit in from the top.

I bought a universal blanket and turbo cover (wrap) on Ebay. Since I haven't got my turbo on yet, I can't say how well they work, but they should be MUCH better than nothing.

I'm thinking I better put some kind of insulation on the firewall before the turbo goes in. just easier. And as far as the cdr tube I guess I'll deal with it. I'm thinking I should get the oil line that attaches to the oil filter mount cause I think I'm going to just use the oil sensor thats there, and leave the gp controller where it is. Just make a cover for it and shield the wiring. What do you think about wrapping the crossover pipe?

The more I read about it the more I feel I should relocate the gp controller. Been looking online for a bracket but can't seem to find anything. Anybody have a lead? Or just put it on the fender. Thanks

Classicdieseldesigns also has a custom made bracket that bolts in place over the valve cover too. Might be worth giving them a call.

I want to say that one aftermarket turbo kit came with a similar bracket. Maybe for the 093?
