TPS Voltages?

Hello one and all. Just wondering what the operational range is suppose to be on the TPS in a '94 7.3 idiT?
5.009V input and ground is .005V static. Voltage range while moving is roughly 1.2 to 3.4V
New sensor no changes, everything moved around trying to adjust. If the 1.2 drops under a volt, the top range also comes down. if I take the top up, the bottom comes up.
Any ideas?

There is a thread in here about the topic. Might even be a sticky. I believe the ideal range is 1.2 at idle (after cold advance is off) and no higher than 4.5 at WOT. Also important that the reading increases and decreases smoothly throughout. I try and shoot for around 4.0-4.2 at WOT. Seems to be a good spot for my operating habits.

A new aftermarket FIPL (TPS) will not always fall within the range, meaning it could be poorly built internally and will never give you the range you want. AFAIK, the only option is to return it and get a new to try.

Adjusting the TPS will influence the shift point for an E4OD. I dont believe it serves a purpose if you have a MT.

Heres a link to a helpful thread on the topic. Your idle speed may influence your reading somewhat. A sticky pedal, sticky throttle cable, anything causing the throttle to be higher than normal will cause your idle reading to appear high which will cause the two readings to seem odd. High idle voltage and low WOT voltage may indicate that type of issue. Doesnt take much to swing the idle voltage 0.1-0.2 volts.

Thank you for the link, I will be looking at that shortly.I am in the final stages of adding an Allison trans and it is in dire need of a functional TPS. The kit I received has a remote TPS adapter and looking at the truck, it already has one and as they operate on 5 volts, converting one to the other is easy enough,
IF the Ford was ranging from roughly .5 volt to 4.5 volt.
I have loosened everything up, switched sensors etc and to no avail. A few minor mods to the I/P and I can get the other TPS mounted without the 54 inch cable.

Oh thats awesome. If you can post some pictures of your work with pictures of adapting the Allison TPS I am sure people would appreciate it.

Yeah. I got the kit from CA Conversions and the cable supplied extends out to about 52 inches but the linkage pulls in the wrong direction, unless you don't mind having that cable routed over the fan shroud.
Now I wonder if I deleted that pic i sent to CAC. oops. Well, I found it. The kit I used can be found when looking for a "remote TPS mounting kit" and sells off for about $110.
Mine is about 98% done in this pic and I had to make a 32" TPS jumper wire to hook up to their kit.
