Follow-up... The hinge pins and bushings did take the play out of the door but the door still required a strong slam to close. A Dorman striker bolt installed today did the trick. It probably needed both hinge pins/bushings and the striker bolt. The bolt looked good - the thin plastic membrane did have some cuts in it which must have made the door so hard to shut correctly. Slamming the door hard enough to close it correctly would have done damage to the window tracks, latch, window motor, or mirror workings.
Thanks again for the suggestions!

Yesterday when I opened the drivers door, I noticed the top Dorman Hinge pin was sticking up 1/2 inch. That is one reason the door has slop...
the splines did not stay tight in the hinge to hold it down.

Another thing about the Dorman Pin, it has a groove for the "C" Clip to secure it, but is at the bottom of the pin. Should be up close to where it comes out of the Hinge to hold it from working out.

I used Dewhel pins from Amazon - there were two grooves for the C-clips the top groove was the right location for the F250. I also noticed that in leaving the frame hinges mounted and beating the old pins out widened the space between the top and bottom of the hinge - left like that there would still have been play even with the new pins and bushings. I closed the frame hinge gap with a few whacks of the Tonya Harding before assembling everything. Now it's good n' tight - the door closes like it's 1993 again.

I was reading some of the comments from other buyers. One mentioned the bushings are machined, where others are a cast Bronze. And it will break tapping them in or get crooked.
I can give a big 10-4 to that, had the Dormans break.

We`ll see how these do, thanks for posting.

Once again, new is not always better. A sad state of affairs lately. China sends over junk and we have no choice but to buy it.
