How'd scrap take it with no title? Here at least they won't touch it. Only way to get rid of a no title car is to.. Erm... Park it down town? Wink wink.
They work it out somehow. I hauled off a truck with a title lien one time, they took it.

Awesome truck Jesus Freak!

I love the sun visor and Ford tractors sticker on the air cleaner? Did you add that yourself? The light bar and stacks are bad@$$ too.

Good job doing the weld it yourself exhaust. I'd be afraid to try that since I can only weld rat turds.

The sun visor was on it when I got the truck, it's really similar to the one on the A-team van. The sticker I bought at tractor supply several years ago and that air filter housing used to be on my dually until I scored my turbo motor that couldn't use it.

As far as welding the exhaust, I couldn't find anyone else to do it, and I really have a hard time with mechanics. So, I figured it out.

Thanks for the compliment, it's a pretty handy piece of equipment, but it sure ain't a truck.

this has nothing to do with my tow truck but I wanted to mention it because...... well.....I don't know. So, in a couple of my pictures of stuff on my work bench you may have noticed that I have a couple fender emblems off a 2003 Harley Davidson edition F250. I decided to look them up on ebay........they list for @ $200 a piece! So I had my daughter post them on her ebay store thing for $300 for the pair. You Harley Davidson edition F250 owners are crazy! I'm done.......but if any of you need a couple HD F250 badges though......

Check this out! I've been accosted by my super loud exhaust long enough, so I did what any reasonable red blooded American would do........I found a YouTube video. Anyways, I found one where a guy made his own glass pack for his bull dozer and he had back to back before and after of it working. Needless to say, it was simple and impressive. If you saw how I did my pipes, youll remember that there's no way I can fit anything under it so my idea has been to put a muffler IN the stacks. That's basically what I'm doing, but I'M making it. My ceramic packing material will be here later in the week so I don't have it done yet, but here's some pictures of my baffles. They are 36" long with @33" of baffle. The packing will wrap around the perforated area and I'll slide them in my stacks. This should really help. What do y'all think? Anyone else try anything like this before?

I really wish I was more technilogicly savoy, so I could make a before and after video. But I'll try to discribe it the best I can. Right now it's unbearably loud with the window down. I'm really not into the "obnoxious jerk" scene and I feel bad sometimes because it is SOOO loud. Loud pipes save lives, but these are killers!

No I haven't tries this, but it will work. It will also be quieter. It's a part of routine maintenance to repack the muffler (sometimes called a silencer) on ATV's and dirt bikes. That's basically what you're doing, only you're building the internals first. How quiet will it be" that partly depends on how much packing you put into the stacks.

Sold a guy some auger flighting and an outer pipe the other day. He's going to build his own muffler for a Kenworth with it. Curious to hear how it sounds.

Hi JF.
Do you think you could find time to do some rust work on your truck?
I was browsing through your pictures and when seeing the rust on the frame, then it's hurting. It will eat your truck.

I don't know why FORD is not putting more effort into rust prevention.
My kids said that f-o-r-d is the chemical formula for rust, when they saw our van while the body was lifted. That was a hard time, since original body mounts were not available anymore.

I do what I can, but I like rust. I think old cars that are all fixed up are nice and pretty, but to me it's kinda like an airbrushed super model.......fake. I like the rust and "patina", even on the frame. Eventually I'll shore stuff up that needs it, but to me rust is real.

I think rust can be more or less scary depending on where you are, here you can go from a paint bubble to being able to put your hand through the side of the bed with little effort in about 3 years.

That's true. The first time I stopped by to see Wes, he said that my truck has a lot of rust. True, compared to south Texas trucks, but I've seen trucks that are 20 years newer around here that have as much or more rust than mine does. For it's age, I think it has minimal rust.
