Russ repair has it for $70

This E-Bay guy has them for $37.75 and free shipping, and made in Germany

It`s stupid you have to buy a whole return kit for just 8 washers.
Say you want to do a compression check and pull the Injectors.
All ya need is 8 washers and the 16 "O" Rings, and you can buy them from McMaster-Carr, bag of 50 for $10.

What a racket.

Compression can be checked through the glow plugs. Matter of fact, I've never seen/heard of it being done via the injector ports.

I do know that the washers can be re-annealed if you heat them up to about 400° for a second, then they can be used again. Never tried it, but there's an engine rebuilder I know who swears by it.

The “early” style is a few $$$ more at advance, but my local store has these in stock.

Thanks. That's a more reasonable price. But none in stock near here.
I already ordered one of the Ebay China kits (maybe they all are from China?) in hopes of gettiing it on Friday.

I used the Horrible Freight compression gauge to test my 6.9l. It did ok. I bought a Lang compression gauge from Amazon and it fell apart after testing 2 or 3 cylinders. At least it was Prime. The OTC one is probably the way to go if you're willing to pay the price.

I do not want to know what mine would compression test as. It runs really great for being half buried for 10+ years and that’s good enough.

I was poking around last nigh to find Copper washes for a Ford IDI. Not much comes up, but crosses over to the early ******* 12V.

Put in an order with these guys, they are crazy, who is going to pay this much shipping for a hand full of Washers?
