I sold my 93 f250 idi with a banks turbo maybe 2 years ago because it was just sitting with a locked up rotor and the frame was starting to rust and if it wasn’t addressed soon it would be a frame replacement and at the time I had zero time to do it... I’m looking to get another truck and honestly I loved my idi. It was pretty simple to work on, had power to pull what I needed, etc. So what price range do you think I’d be looking at these days for something rust free? I’m less concerned about rust on panels but want a good frame. Just curious because everything seems pretty expensive these days.

Most of them are pretty expensive right now. There's still some decent prices out there. You just have to look. I've seen several decent/fair deals around me in the last several months. By that, I mean $5000 or less. I know it's too far away, but I'm only using that as an example.

$5k is starting off price. It drastically goes up from there. Especially if you start adding things like crew cab and 4x4...

Get a job driving for FedEx ground, they're around in people's back yards. Might be the best way to get a deal if you have cash on hand. I know where 5 or 6 are, but I'm biding my time so I can have enough cash to strike.

I’m thinking my budget will be $10k... but looking at prices it may be $15k that is needed for a solid truck that has a some what presentable paint job still on it and mechanically sound.

That looks like a good find!
Yeah I thought so myself it cleaned up a lot was covered with dirt and algae from sitting and never being cleaned, there’s some surface rust here and there on the frame but nothing major at all, she’s got a 75 % disassembly coming soon for frame painting and body mount bushing replacements.

You have yourself a good price range for a 4x4 extended cab, if you're lucky, crew cab. Good luck on your search, feel free to pop ads over to us for opinions

Interior supposedly not all the way together, rear tank leaking, supposedly has $12k into the truck in body work? Hard pass for me. Is a little suspicious. If he has so much, why not finish it? He's right there already....

That's a surprisingly low priced one. Would be a good one to tinker with.

rewbrooks50 has a 94 CC with a factory turbo for sale. He says that it just needs a head gasket. He has it listed in Marketplace.

I don't have a Facebook account but I read the ads.
It should still show up if you don't have an account.
