According to my local ford counter the ZD9 plug and the ZD29 plug are the same plug except that the ZD29 is sold in bundles of two, maybe that is also the case for the motorcraft ZD28?

And if you dont mind changing your connector to the glow plug, the bosch 80034 is a much better plug for manual control. I have been using them for pretty close to 15 years now with no failures. I ALWAYS put them in anything that has a button for glow plugs.
So my GP harness is pretty sketchy after all these years. You'd whole-heartedly suggest switching to the Bosch while I'm in there? I've had decent history with Beru's but there is so much bad news with them lately. Makes me wanna switch it up.

I'm guessing you get really cold temps in SW Montana, so your track record with the Bosch is even better.

So far, they have had a perfect track record for me (bosch 80034). They dont get hot quite as fast as the beru plugs for these trucks, but have not had a single complaint on all of the sets I have installed.

THese are NOT the bosch plug for the 6.9 7.3. They are made for the 6.2 6.5

Are those by any chance the dual coil plugs?

Not too worried about changing the harness if i can find something that works

Put a light to see if they are tirning on some how and are not with out button

2 cold starts on the new ones so fat they have been good

Any updates? I just switched over to a big White Rodgers GP relay and after working twice, I lost 7 of 8 GPs when I've never lost more than 2 over years and years of driving.
So now I'm in a similar boat...hoping the backup set I installed today won't suffer the same fate.

I did a Google search for the Bosch 80034 plug.
Came across this thread on a 6.2, 6.5 Hummer forum. These guys are not for the Bosch Plug, after one guy had the end drop off and bounce around on the top of the Piston.

Interesting read.
