We have 4 tuned 7.3s in the family all running Hydras, which we love. We have tunes from Gearhead, Full Force and PHP. I also have a 2004 F350 6.0 which is ARP'd and full physical deleted, legal in Texas. It's been a reliable truck except for one Furd reman HPOP and one injector, both failed. I was gonna sell it but I changed my mind mostly because I love the 5R110, and will sell my E350 V10 dually van instead. Kids mostly moved out so we rarely drive the van anymore (I settled for a V10 because nobody wants to sell their diesel E van unless it's beat up or overpriced. I dually'd it myself).

I checked out my favorite tuning web sites, Riffraff and Gearhead, for 6.0 tunes and whoops no Hydra. Worse, GH says their 6.0 tunes require a functional EGR valve. Mine is gone so that's crossed off my list, not gonna put one back on. Saw some really good things said about blessedperformance.com tunes but they seem to run only on an SCT tuner. And wtaf you can't switch 6.0 tunes while you're driving down the road? How do you drive somewhere, hook up a heavy trailer then start hauling? Some kind of switchover procedure?

So you can see I'm a big dummy about 6.0 tunes and hoping you guys can share what you know. I always figured I'd sell this 6.0 and be a 7.3-only family. So I never paid attention to 6.0 mods.

I asked Riffraff about this and Clay says a Hybrid can't run 6.0 tunes. He recommends an SCT. FYI

Just noticed that this subforum is dead. Nobody's posted since July but me.

I guess 6.0s are not big with this crowd. But this is the best IDI forum I've found.

Super Duty Diesel was big on 6.0 engines and trucks until about 7 or 8 years ago. SDD died then, almost no one posts there now... That is too bad as I was one of the original mambers.
