Should be able to go to regular hardware store and get another plug. If you want it to be magnetic go to a parts store, at least in the us you can get new ones there

Yep, it's a pipe thread available at hardware store (Lowes, True Value, etc.). I changed both of mine to the "male" square head style which gives you something to grab hold of vs the female style.

You want Mercon LV in the transfer case, not Mercon V. I remember something about the mercon v not being compatible and causing TCs to burn up. I used the valvoline maxlife multi-vehicle.

In the next 14 days I'm starting to reinstall my fresh rebuild tranny, I'll take this in account when I fill them up.

Yeah it says right on the bottle and the website not to use mercon V in transfer cases that originally called for mercon.

That’s interesting, I know I just threw something lubriscous in there to replace the water and mud and figured I improved things. Maybe I’m an idiot but I don’t think I’m gonna go hunt down t case fluid
